We built this converter to be fast and correct, and we check it regularly. Even so, read the notes below before you build anything important around a number this page gives you.

Daylight Saving Is The Usual Culprit

UTC itself never shifts for daylight saving, but Eastern Time does, which means the offset between the two changes twice a year. If you are converting something for the window right around a daylight saving switch in March or November, double check the date against an official source rather than relying only on this page.

Where This Page Helps And Where It Does Not

Use this site to quickly translate a server timestamp, sanity check a meeting invite, or figure out what time a livestream starts for you. Do not treat it as the sole source of truth for a flight connection, a legal deadline, a broadcast go-live time, or anything with a real penalty attached to being wrong. For those, verify against the airline, the court, or the platform hosting the event.

Blog Posts And Guides

Any articles or guides on this site explain time zone concepts in plain language. They are general reference material, not legal, financial or professional advice specific to your situation.

Links We Don’t Control

Pages on this site sometimes link out to other resources. Once you click away from utctoest.com, we are no longer responsible for what that other site says or does.

Ads On This Site

This site may show ads from third party networks to help cover hosting and development costs. We do not personally vet every ad that runs.
